Georgetown blown out by Creighton 90-66

Georgetown’s 90-66 loss to Creighton Saturday afternoon often resembled a track meet, the Bluejays outrunning and outgunning the Hoyas in a fast-paced and lopsided affair at Capital One Arena.

The Hoyas defense had no answer for the Bluejays as Creighton shot nearly 50 percent from the field, blitzing the Hoyas from distance with 16 threes.

Creighton never trailed in the game, jumping out to a quick 12-3 advantage within a matter of minutes. The Bluejays hit four of their first five field goal attempts, all from beyond the arc.

The Bluejays continued to dictate the tempo throughout the first half, shooting 49 percent from the field while holding the Hoyas to 30 percent shooting and forcing nine Georgetown turnovers.
