Georgetown basketball has postponed its fourth straight game due to coronavirus issues within the program, this time pushing back a Jan. 26 matchup against Xavier.
No makeup dates have been announced for any of the four games. The Hoyas first had their game against DePaul on Jan. 13 postponed before another two — Providence on Jan. 16 and Marquette on Jan. 20 — followed suit.
“Georgetown continues to follow CDC, DC Department of Health, Georgetown University Public Health and NCAA guidelines,” a statement read.
Georgetown announced last week that the program was on pause because of a positive test within the team’s Tier 1 personnel, which included players, coaches and support staff.
