WASHINGTON - For the second-straight year, members of the Georgetown University men’s basketball team visited with kids at the HoyaMed Summer Sports Camp. And, like last year, the players had as much fun as the kids they came to entertain.
On a hot and humid Monday morning, Georgetown senior Akoy Agau (Omaha, Neb./Omaha Central/Louisville), sophomore Kaleb Johnson (South Hill, Va./Carlisle) and freshman Jagan Mosely (Morganville, N.J./St. Anthony’s) met with a group of 20 to 30 kids at the RFK Stadium Auxiliary TurfField in Northeast D.C.
After introducing themselves to the kids, the Hoyas played some games with the kids and then sat down to talk to them, while taking questions – ranging from what it’s like going to college, playing basketball, what their favorite sport is and how they go to where they were – and explaining to them the values of hard work and staying in school.
