Georgetown Athletics Legend Al Blozis Inducted into National Track & Field Hall of Fame

WASHINGTON - Georgetown track & field legend Al Blozis (C’42) is part of the 42nd National Track & Field Hall of Fame induction class, as announced today by USA Track & Field (USATF) offices in Indianapolis. Blozis is part of a six-person induction class that features two modern athletes, three veteran athletes and one coach.

During his time on the Hilltop, Blozis was a two-sport athlete competing in track & field as well as football. Blozis was a two-time national champion, winning the shot put at back-to-back NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in 1940 and 1941, as well as a two-time Penn Relays champion in the event, winning in 1940 and 1942.
