Fourth Quarter Comeback Falls Short at Seton Hall

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - A fourth-quarter comeback was not enough as the Georgetown University women’s basketball team lost to the Seton Hall University Pirates (11-8, 3-5 BIG EAST), 70-65, in a BIG EAST Conference matchup on Sunday afternoon at Walsh Gymnasium. With the loss the Hoyas fall to 7-10 overall and 2-5 in league play.

Senior guard Mikayla Venson (Arlington, Va./Yorktown/Virginia) led the way with a career-best 28 points. Junior guard Dionna White (Baltimore, Md./Milford Mill) added 13 points and two steals. Senior forward Cynthia Petke (Yaounde, Cameroon/-/Chipola College) managed 12 points and a squad-best nine rebounds in the contest.
