WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University football team (1-2, 0-0 Patriot League) travels to New York City to take on Columbia University (0-1, 0-0 Ivy League) on Saturday afternoon at Robert K. Kraft Field. The opening kickoff between the Hoyas and Lions is scheduled for 1 p.m.
SERIES HISTORY: Georgetown and Columbia meet for the third time in series history and the first time since 2006, with the Lions earning victories in the two previous matchups. GU fell to the Lions, 23-21, in the last meeting at Columbia on September 23, 2006. Saturday’s game will be the beginning of a 10-year series coined “The Battle for Lou’s Return.
