WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University football team (3-3, 1-0 Patriot League) celebrated Homecoming Weekend with its largest margin of victory over a Patriot League opponent, defeating Lafayette College (1-5, 0-2 Patriot League), 38-7 at newly-minted Cooper Field.
The Hoyas turned in their most complete performance in front of a full homecoming crowd, including Peter and Sue Cooper and the Cooper family, who were on-hand for the announcement of the renaming of the field prior to the game.
