WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University football team had two players - junior linebacker J'V'on Butler (Melbourne, Fla./Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy) and sophomore defensive lineman Khristian Tate (Warner Robins, Ga./Covenant Academy) - selected to the 2017 Patriot League Football Preseason All-League Team. Additionally, the Hoyas were selected to finish in a tie for sixth place in the Patriot League in 2017.
Butler had a breakout sophomore season for the Hoyas in 2016, leading the defense with 87 tackles, including 43 solo takedowns. He also tied for the team lead with two forced fumbles and was fourth with 5.
