WASHINGTON - Georgetown University Football Head Coach Rob Sgarlata has announced that senior quarterback Tim Barnes (Oradell, N.J./River Dell Regional) and junior defensive back David Akere (Carrollton, Texas/Hebron) will serve as the team captains for the entirety of the 2016 season.
"Tim and David have been selected by our players and coaches to serve as captains for the 2016 season,” Sgarlata said. “This is a process that started immediately after the completion of last season. Throughout spring practice, our summer program and this preseason, both Tim and David have embodied the characteristics of leadership valued by our program.
