Agau, who averaged 4.5 points and 4.3 rebounds in 15 minutes per game last season, will be eligible to play next season as a graduate transfer.
Agau transferred to Georgetown from Louisville after the 2014-15 season, but missed his sophomore campaign due to a torn ACL. Agau played in every game for the Hoyas last year and carved out a role as a dependable defensive presence in the post and on the glass.
