WASHINGTON - Sophomore guard Dorothy Adomako (Midlothian, Va./Cosby) scored 24 points and the Georgetown University women’s basketball team led by 12 points early in the fourth quarter, but Villanova used a late run to take the lead and held on for a 63-60 win over the Hoyas at McDonough Arena on Sunday afternoon.
It was the third loss in the last four games for the Hoyas, who fall to 14-12 overall and 7-9 in the BIG EAST Conference, while Villanova improves to 17-10 overall and 10-6 in league play.
Adomako hit 10-of-21 shot from the floor for a team-high 24 points, adding seven rebounds, three assists and four blocked shots.
