Fresno State and its run defense was hurting very early last week in a loss at San Jose State. Tobenna Okeke, who had started the Bulldogs’ first two games at the boundary outside linebacker position, the Joker, went down with a knee injury on the opening kickoff. They already were without Brandon Hughes, who had started the third game there, and was held out against the Spartans after he and quarterback Zack Greenlee were arrested at a house party a few hours after a loss to Utah, Hughes for suspicion of obstructing a police officer/resisting arrest and Greenlee for suspicion of public drunkenness.
