Fresno State is awaiting a report from an outside investigation into complaints received by the school’s athletic department against the lacrosse program and team coach Jessica Giglio, according to the Fresno Bee.
The complaints alleged poor treatment of players, potential NCAA violations and program mismanagement, the Bee reported.
“At the conclusion of the 2018 season, Fresno State athletics received correspondence from student-athlete’s parents expressing concerns surrounding the lacrosse program. After an internal athletic review, the firm of Bond, Schoeneck & King was retained by the California State University office of general counsel to begin the process of an external review of the program,” the department of athletics said in a statement.
