Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr was watching closely on his phone when Fresno State defeated Boise State 20-17 in overtime for the Mountain West championship.
When Ronnie Rivers took an option pitch from Marcus McMaryion in the end zone for the winning touchdown, the ex-Fresno State star celebrated and was happy for the Bulldogs and coach Jeff Tedford.
Many former Bulldogs went on Twitter to show their appreciation for the Bulldogs’ victory, but not Carr. He’s been off Twitter to focus on the NFL season and playing for first-year Raiders coach Jon Gruden.
Carr was no doubt excited for his hometown college when asked about the victory after a 24-21 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
