All outdoor Fresno State athletic events will return to full capacity and will have no social distancing requirements, Fresno State Athletics announced Tuesday.
The guideline changes will take effect in time for the football season opener at Bulldog Stadium on August 28, where Fresno State will be hosting UConn at 11 a.m.
The new guidelines come from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) for Mega Outdoor Events, which states that capacity limitations and physical distancing are no longer required for outdoor mega events.
Events are considered mega events if there are large crowds greater than 5,000 indoors or 10,000 outdoors, according to the website.
