Fresno State senior golfer Brigitte Thibault made history by becoming the first player in school history to advance to the NCAA women’s golf championship.
Thibault tied for sixth at the Stanford regional this past week. She finished the tournament with a 2-under-par 211 (70-73-68). Thibault jumped 14 spots after her performance, securing a trip to the national championship.
“It feels nice. It is nice to have and to keep forever,” Thibault said. “Coming here, I wanted to beat myself from two years ago so it was nice to keep on that. I finished with a birdie when, last time, I finished with a bogey.
