When the history books of college football are written centuries from now, one of the biggest chapters will be about a 14 season period in which the FSU football team but together one of the best runs in the history of the sport. From 1987 until 2000, the Seminoles were the toast of the sport and made everyone else wait in line.
In that period, the Noles had an overall record of 152-19-1 that included 11 wins in bowl gams, two national titles won and three others played for (and a few more if not for this darn Miami Hurricanes and goal posts) to go along with nine straight ACC titles to start their run in the conference.
