By now, you know: Kendal Briles is in as Florida State’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, replacing the departed Walt Bell. The worst kept secret in a while broke yesterday, and today, Florida State issued a press release commenting on the hire.
Here’s what FSU head coach Willie Taggart had to say about Briles’ addition to the staff:
I’m excited about the addition of Kendal to our staff. He brings play-calling experience and familiarity with the type of scheme and tempo we will run, which is similar to the offenses he has coordinated.
