In the 1977 season, the FSU football team – one season after a losing campaign in the first year under head coach Bobby Bowden – did something the program had never done before in winning 10 games in a season for the first time. After another double digit win campaign in 1980, the Seminoles did it 14 straight seasons during the dynasty era.
With football being a sport that is all about numbers, getting at least 10 wins in a season is a big deal – and after what took place last season in the first year under head coach Willie Taggart, fans of the Seminoles know that having more wins than losses is job number one starting August 31st against Boise State.
