While the issues unfolding on the field for Florida State football have been the main point of frustration for fans this season, during Monday night’s loss to the Boston College Eagles, a new source of irritation arose: the in-stadium experience, particularly the auditory aspect of it.
Fans both inside the stadium and watching on TV were subjected to hearing radio hits blasted throughout Doak Campbell Stadium, some inconveniently timed (“Not Like Us” and “Don’t Stop Believing” playing while down two scores) and others sorely outdated (“I Gotta Feeling,” a song released when most of the students and team were in elementary school).
