Florida State baseball got off to a 2-1 start to the season this weekend, as they swept a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon against UNF. FSU did drop their opener, but should still be a consensus top-25 team. Just five of D1Baseball’s top-25 teams swept a three-game series this weekend. The top three teams, UF, UCLA, and Texas Tech, all lost their series.
The Seminoles were solid in the box against the Ospreys. FSU posted a .292 average, .434 OBP, and .479 SLG%. FSU was sloppy defensively, making five errors in three games. On the mound, Florida State was inconsistent.
