As a Florida State shot bounced off the rim, a sea of players in black jerseys seemed to swarm over the basketball as UCF came away with another rebound.
It was a trend that seemed to happen over and over again throughout the night as the Knights dominated the boards, outrebounding the visiting Seminoles on their way to a 68-54 win at Addition Financial Arena Friday night.
UCF (1-1) grabbed 52 rebounds, led by forwards Taylor Hendricks (12) and Lahat Thioune (10).
Florida State fell to 0-2 for the first time since 2000-01 as the Seminoles continue to struggle with injuries.
