Florida State football addressed a major position of need on Monday, gaining the verbal commitment of four-star quarterback prospect Sam Howell for the class of 2019. This is a very big get for the Seminoles, who did not take a QB in their 2018 class.
Howell (6’, 217) is ranked the No. 4 pro-style passer in the country for 2019, and he plays his high school ball at Monroe (N.C.) Sun Valley. However, it’s worth noting that he’s quite mobile, and could very well be discussed as a dual-threat signal-caller. Howell is also ranked the No. 4 overall player in North Carolina and the 152nd best prospect, nationwide.
