Starting FSU left tackle Derrick Kelly leaves Wake Forest game with injury

There were myriad concerns about the state of the Seminole football program heading into Saturday’s game against Wake Forest, and they spanned across all three phases of the game. And it didn’t take long for the offensive issues to take on yet another wrinkle.

That happened in the first quarter of Florida State’s road tilt with Wake Forest, when starting left tackle, redshirt-junior Derrick Kelly (6’5, 325), left the game with what appeared to be a leg injury. Kelly, of course, has suffered his fair share of injuries while at FSU.

Kelly’s backup on the ’Nole depth chart is listed as redshirt-freshman Josh Ball (6’8, 325), but he did not come in when Kelly left.
