Florida State (22-6, 12-4 ACC) defeated no. 20 Georgia Tech (21-7, 9-7 ACC) by a 73-70 score this afternoon in Atlanta.

Early in the game Georgia Tech was able to take a small lead on the strength of forcing live ball turnovers that led to easy fast break layups. However, the Seminoles were able to stay close due to a pair of three from Carla Viegas and Sydney Bowles. Tech took a 19-16 lead into the second quarter.
Midway through the second quarter the Jackets hit FSU with a 7-0 run to take a 28-20 lead.
