Everything was going according to plan for Florida State baseball this week.
The Seminoles came from behind against a Stetson team on the inside of the NCAA tournament bubble, Jamie Arnold dazzled in a Friday night blowout, and Joey Volini went five innings of one-run ball as the Noles took a 4-1 lead into the sixth against Louisville, four innings away from a series win.
Then the bottom fell out, which is not the first time that phrase has been used this season.
The next 11 innings were cataclysmic both for the series and the Noles’ season as a whole.
