Last week, the Florida State basketball program got some great news when it found out that forward Phil Cofer had been granted an extra year of eligibility. Today, the Seminoles got even richer in flexible bigs, as Malik Osborne, previously with the Rice Owls, announced his intention to transfer to FSU.
Osborne (6’8, 200), a player in the mold of a Cofer, was being largely misused with Rice, as he was being played out of position. A product of Park Forest, Illinois’ Don Bosco Prep Academy, Osborne originally committed to the Owls in April of 2017 over offers from Drexel, East Carolina, Missouri-Kansas City, and Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
