The vacancy in Mike Norvell’s Florida State coaching staff didn’t last long, according to a report from Noles 247. Norvell had brought T.J. Rushing along with him from Memphis to coach defensive backs, but less than a month after his hire, he was lured to Texas A&M to take the same job.
But now the ’Noles have his replacement, in Marcus Woodson. Woodson also has roots with Norvell, having coached under him at Memphis from 2016-2017 before heading up the secondary at Auburn last year. He was also Auburn’s recruiting coordinator. Woodson gives the Seminoles another tie-in to SEC country, as he’s from Mississippi and played his college ball as a safety at Ole Miss.
