Florida State’s new staff continues to amass new talent, this time in the form of a transfer from Purdue, inside linebacker Cornel Jones (per a report from Noles 247).
Jones’ move from West Lafayette to Tallahassee brings him much closer to home, as he played his high school ball at Miami Central and signed with the Boilermakers’ 2017 recruiting class as a two-star prospect. He also had offers from UConn, USF, and FIU, where he committed initially. A three-year contributor for Purdue, Jones (6’2, 235) will have to sit for a season at FSU before using his remaining year of eligibility in 2021.
