As expected, Florida State DE Brian Burns has decided to forego his final year of amateur eligibility, per a report, as he’s announced that he’ll declare for the 2019 NFL Draft. A product of Fort Lauderdale, Florida’s American Heritage School, Burns (6’5, 231) has long been thought to be an obvious early departure for the league.
Burns is a freakish athlete who showed nice hustle in his final year with the ’Noles, a tumultuous 2018 season that could have afforded any player halfway out the door a chance to take his foot off the gas.
