Now that the ACC is going to join other Power Five conferences and have their own television network, the league is quickly working to produce more content to fill time on that future channel. Already, the league has announced a move from 18 conference games a season to 20 for basketball, with many people seeing football as the next to expand.
While a move from an eight game conference slate to nine each season has been voted down before, the smell of money from the new network might make it easier to swallow. According to an article from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution quoting Georgia Tech athletic director Mike Bobinski, a decision could be coming in a matter of days:
