Rash of injuries has forced FSU’s young basketball team to grow up quickly

Injuries aren’t uncommon in college basketball as teams deal with their share of bumps and bruises throughout a long season.

Florida State’s Leonard Hamilton has experienced his fair share of injuries during his more than three decades of coaching, but nothing like the Seminoles experienced in 2021-22.

“This is a rarity,” said Hamilton. “This happens to everybody. Every coach, every program, at some point in time during their career, maybe not as many as us. We’ve had more injuries in the last two weeks than we’ve had the last eight years.”
