Don’t look now — and definitely don’t take this to mean anything other than a pleasant surprise, seeing as it should be the norm — but Florida State held another high-energy practice on Thursday, a welcome sign after the team has showcased sluggishness in its 0-2 start:
Norvell’s team split time between scout work and competitive team drills, giving the squad an emotional edge they clearly needed after their lackluster performances the last few weeks.
The practice began with a two-minute drill where the defense kept everything in front of them and forced DJ Uiagalelei to send a Hail Mary deep into the end zone in a last-ditch effort to win the morning, which fell incomplete.
