Noles News: FSU opens as 5.5 underdog to SMU

FSU didn’t just get a win on the football field this past weekend, as Florida State got a much-needed boost on the recruiting trail with the commitment of blue-chip running back Byron Louis:

Louis is a 5’11, 200 pound running back who plays for American Heritage in Fort Lauderdale, Florida (FSU defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain’s old stomping grounds). He is currently ranked as the 221st best player in the nation by 247Sports Composite (17th best running back, 35th best player in FL). That ranking is too low in my opinion- I’d have him as a top 150 player easily.
