Florida State softball looked to stay strong for their first game against the California Golden Bears. The pitching matchup was Ashtyn Danley for FSU, and Annabel Teperson for the Bears.
It was a quiet first inning for both sides, but FSU did see one runner left on base. Moving into the top of the 2nd inning, Michaela Edenfield led off with a solo homerun. The 51st of her career gave the Seminoles a lead.
