Almost 24 hours after their dominating win over Wichita State, Florida State was the final game of the Shriner’s Children’s Clearwater Invitational. Up against the UCF Knights, the Seminoles were tabbed as the away team, immediately starting against Yessenia Lopez for the Knights. The ‘Noles got some traffic on the bases, but couldn't piece anything together in the first inning.
In the circle for FSU, Annabelle Widra got the ball against UCF. A pair of singles from Sierra Humphreys and Izzy Mertez had trouble for Widra, but two big outs by the defense and a strike out kept it a scoreless game.
