No. 7 Florida State destroys USF 19-0 in mid-week thumping

For weeks, Florida State banged on the door of big innings or offensive explosions, but could not break it down.

On Tuesday, against a respectable USF team, the Seminoles flung the lid off the basket and an avalanche ensued. Florida State beat the brakes off the Bulls 19-0 in a seven-inning run-rule, as eight Noles recorded multi-hit games, went 14-28 with RISP, and plated seven runs in the first and eight runs in the eighth. Florida State recorded only four extra-base hits out of their 20 knocks, including one home run, a two-run shot from Cal Fisher, but the offense raked from the first pitch, and the hit parade concluded with 19 runs.
