No. 6 Florida State (24-9) was defeated by no. 3 LSU (30-5) by a 101-71 score tonight in Baton Rouge in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

The game was physical early. LSU was pressuring Florida State and extending their defense. FSU responded by settling for too many early threes. Nevertheless, Ta’Niya Latson buried a long three to give FSU the 7-4 lead early. However, midway through the quarter LSU hit the Noles with an 11-0 run to take a 17-10 lead. Brooke Wyckoff was forced to take a timeout.
