Florida State baseball (18-2, 3-0) heads south to take on rival Miami (13-9, 0-3) in an unusual three-game set that begins on a Thursday with all three contests at night. Last season, FSU swept the Hurricanes in an emotional, intense affair, and there will be similar feelings this weekend. The series will be Florida State’s first road set of the year and the first of seven straight matchups away from home.
For the Seminoles, Link Jarrett’s club needs to bounce back from a lackluster, lifeless loss at the hands of Mercer on Tuesday, 9-3. The head coach continues to be upset with the quality of at-bats from his team, and that will be the offensive focus versus UM after 14 strikeouts two days ago.
