Tuesday night at Dick Howser Stadium will be more than a baseball game.
For the first time since a shooting killed two and injured six last Thursday, Florida State will hold an athletic event after all games were cancelled over the weekend. With the Tallahassee community still reeling from the events that occurred last week, Tuesday promises to be an emotional and powerful night.
Initially scheduled for 6 PM, FSU moved the game time up an hour to 5 PM and will hold a “period of reflection” at 4:30. An FSU spokesperson announced Florida State will welcome staff, faculty and students before the game, have a moment of silence, and a doctor from Tallahassee Memorial Hospital will throw out the first pitch.
