TALLAHASSEE — Florida State could not overcome several self-inflicted blunders from its pitchers against rival Florida.
The No. 4 Seminoles (22-9) fell to the No. 3 Gators (30-5) 8-2 Tuesday night at Dick Howser Stadium as Florida completed a three-game sweep of the season series. The contest drew an announced attendance of 5,936 fans.
"I'm not a happy camper," FSU coach Mike Martin said of losing to his team's primary rival. "I'm doing a great job of faking this interview. I want to get up and throw things.
". . . Very disappointed in a couple of outings, but they're going to get the ball again.
