No. 25 Florida State (18-4, 8-2 ACC) defeated Wake Forest (8-14, 1-10 ACC) by a 97-68 score tonight in Tallahassee.

Florida State jumped out to an early 7-0 lead and that set the tone for the first quarter. Midway through the quarter FSU hit Wake with a 13-0 run that was capped by a Carla Viegas triple to take a 20-4 lead. However, the Deacs didn’t quit. Wake Forest responded with a 9-2 run that was sparked by a tip-in from Alyssa Andrews to cut the gap to 22-13. The Noles then scored the last five points of the quarter to take a 27-13 lead into the second period.
