No. 2 Florida State (6-0-1, 1-0-0 ACC) defeated Syracuse (6-4-1, 0-3-0 ACC) by a 5-1 score tonight at the Seminole Soccer Complex.
Game Recap
Florida State got off on the front foot early. In the seventh minute Taylor Huff drove the ball through the midfield into the Syracuse defensive third. Huff spotted Peyton McGovern making a run into the box on the right side. McGovern one-timed an exquisite ball into the six that got by three players before finding the foot of Wrianna Hudson who was crashing down on the left side. Cuse goal keeper Shea Vanderbosch went for McGovern’s cross and therefore the goal was open for Hudson to tap the ball in for FSU’s first goal.
