Allison Royalty was the starting pitcher on record for Florida State’s first game in the ACC Tournament. Facing the Notre Dame lineup, Royalty had a pair of baserunners early on, but relied on her defense to get her out of the jam.
Alexis Laudenslager got the start for the Fighting Irish. Kaley Mudge and Jaysoni Beachum both reached on a hit and walk, but a double play just left Beachum before ND escaped the inning.
