Manasse Itete didn’t expect to be playing football, much less living in Tallahassee.
Itete, born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, moved to the United States (California) at the beginning of high school. Initially, he thought basketball would be his calling.
“I (have) been in the States for five years now. I started playing basketball and began playing football at the end of my sophomore year, going to my junior year.”
Although he initially committed to Lincoln Riley’s USC Trojans, Itete’s relationship with Alex Atkins became the difference maker in his recruitment, as he hopes to continue building on the foundation of recent offensive line success.
