FSU basketball standout Mfiondu Kabengele saw his dream of playing in the NBA come true Thursday night when he was selected No. 27 overall by the Brooklyn Nets.
His rights were traded to the Los Angeles Clippers who then selected his teammate Terrance Mann with the No. 48 overall pick in the second round.
Kabengele is FSU’s 13th first round NBA draft pick in school history and did so without starting a single game in 2018-19.
The ACC’s Sixth Man of the Year moved up in draft projections as did Terrance Mann after workouts with NBA teams.
