This week, Janarius Robinson announced that he was going to the NFL Draft, leaving Florida State with an immediate need of college-ready pass rush help. The Seminole staff just filled it with the addition of Georgia Bulldogs transfer Jermaine Johnson. The 6’5 250 pound defender from Georgia entered the portal on December 22nd and just four days later has found his new home in Tallahassee:
Originally a Junior college transfer from Independence Community College, he spent 2019 and 2020 in Athens. This past season was a breakout year for him, playing in seven of Georgia’s nine games and becoming the Bulldogs’ second most effective pass rusher with 16 total stops, five sacks and 11 QB pressures.
