It’s been the topic of conversation most on the tips of Florida State fans’ tongues for weeks now: who will start at quarterback for the Seminoles? The ’Noles got backup Alex Hornibrook his first playing time at FSU against Louisville, inserting the grad-transfer from Wisconsin for a couple of first-half series.
But the intrigue really began when starter James Blackman went down with injury during the third quarter and Hornibrook finished the 35-24 win for Florida State. Hornibrook looked good, but so had Blackman. The latter was described as day to day throughout the week, and Willie Taggart specified that Blackman was still his starter (if he were healthy enough).
