Izabela Nicoletti will miss the entire season for FSU women's basketball due to a knee injury

Former McDonald's All-American and 5* recruit Izabela Nicoletti will miss her freshman year due to a season ending injury sustained in practice on Wednesday. Nicoletti will redshirt and will have four years of eligibility remaining.

There is no good way to spin this news. This is simply devastating for next year's team. Although head coach Sue Semrau had not officially named a starter, Nicoletti was set to take the reins at point guard from last year's starter AJ Alix who graduated.

Nicoletti's presence would have given FSU a first class talent at the point. It would also allow other players to play more in their natural positions.
