Florida State won 74-62 in a 77 possession game. Not a great offensive start to the season, but it was easy to see where lots of low hanging fruit could be picked. Malique Ewin struggled mightily around the rim, not-Jerry-Deng was 1-16 from deep, and as Matt noted in the recap, there was a lot of contact around the rim, the refs weren’t exactly in mid-season form (or actually, maybe they were), and FSU struggled with the physicality. Defensively, there was a lot of good and bad. The model for how to win was there - tons of disruption making it hard for NKU to operate on the perimeter, combined with enough offensive stretches to get the dub.
